Lawn Party

We were all goofing off out on the lawn. It is so cool to go from hot sand to cool grass. You can see how clean the beach is.

I believe it was in 2000, we had sand volley ball games and a tournament with Becky and Cal (remember Becky at the Net? Our "walked in the door at just the right time" talented webmistress?) the ex and me and Roberto was the activities director but now works for Remax.

We also had a tennis team exchange here between El Dorado, the Marina and La Hacienda. That was eight years ago. Seems like only yesterday (yeah, right).

Gielle is from France on the far right. He is a chef and worked for Sundance Deli for quite some time; his friend Patty or Patsy, LuLu from Canada and New York; me, Jerry (Rebecca's amor) behind me; Jerry, Lulu's main squeeze; the smiling Rebecca and Nancy Moore.

Nancy is the owner and operator of Hair by Nancy and right now she is in the Plazita, but has plans to move.

The more I look at these photos, it looks like we're having a lawn orgy, but what we were really trying to do was wind our legs around each other in an artistic manner. However, as you can see, we failed miserably. The only one who looks symetric is Jerry the sculptor.

There are some folks who don't like summers in San Felipe; they claim it's too hot but I love the hot, humid summers. You can see how clean the beach is all the way to the next development. There are no quads on the beach either. How nice.

Jerry and LuLu are sitting together at a table, so we know they are civilized. Actually, LuLu reminds me of someone out of Harper's Bazzare. She's very sweet.

So, this is where the cool people hung out on a Sunday afternoon on the white sandy beaches of the Sea of Cortez in beautiful San Felipe. Thank you Jerry and Rebecca!

Photos without me in them were taken by the bartender. All others by Katherine Hammontré
