Club de Pesca International Chili Cookoff Update

I can’t believe that it has been 10 years already. The Club de Pesca International Chili Cookoff has been built on the courage and dedication of every and all Chili Teams and volunteers who have dared to participate in this annual throw down of Chili Competition to transform it into one of the most widely anticipated and attended events of the year.
I am trembling with uncontrollable excitement, imagine the 10th Annual Club de Pesca Chili Cookoff overlooking the beautiful vista of the sea of Cortez, imagine the number of Chili teams that are going to muscle through endless waves of Chili preparation and perspiration to finally render 3 gallons of distilled bubbling Chili love, imagine the best team taking First Place Trophy Gold home for year long bragging rights.
Chili Team entries are open now and should be done in person at Club de Pesca patio store. (The old South Campos High Octane Chili Team is taking the year off, they have assembled a new team of cooks) Two time Cookoff winner Dean Monroe threatened to enter this year with Dino’s Firehouse Chili.

The 10th Annual Club de Pesca International Chili Cookoff is Saturday May 5, 2012 from 1 to 5 pm, at Club de Pesca RV & Trailer Park on the Ramada Patio and surrounding Palapa spaces.
